Fundraising

The St. Thomas Aquinas Society is a non-profit religious organization whose purpose is to promote the teachings of the Roman Catholic Faith through religious education services including educational materials, conferences, lectures, retreats, seminars, books, video and audio tapes.

The St. Thomas Aquinas Society currently raises funds through the following:

Private Donations.

The St. Thomas Aquinas Society has been the recipient of donations by members and supporters, including business sponsors and partners. Donations are the primary means through which resources are generated.

Conference Vendor Sales.

The St. Thomas Aquinas Society invites vendors to attend our conferences to provide merchandise of interest to participants. As a means of defraying conference expenses, we charge vendors a fee per table to present and sell their merchandise. Literature tables can also be acquired at a lesser fee per table.

Candy Bar Sales.

Members of the St. Thomas Aquinas Society periodically sell candy bars in front of local grocery stores and through local business support. This program provides some seed money to support minor events. However, it is not a major source of revenue.

Entertainment Books.

Our success in raising funds with the sale of Entertainment Books has been limited. We recognize the potential to raise significant funds through these sales if we organize this effort and have sufficient volunteers to sell books. A goal of 1000 books would reap a profit of $10,000.

Future

The fund raising programs described have provided partial support for the annual conferences and our other ministries, but are insufficient to meet the needs of the greater vision of the Society. For the St. Thomas Aquinas Society to expand its capabilities and outreach, generation of additional resource avenues are necessary. Appeals will be made to philanthropic organizations to obtain grants to help achieve the goals and objectives of the Society.
