Our 12th major conference, The Risen Lord: Our Hope, is only a few weeks away. It will be a very blessed and Spirit-filled event and we hope you will be able to come. Please invite your friends, too. We need your help to extend this invitation.
You will see with the information included that there are a couple of changes due to unforeseen circumstances. Both Dan Lynch and Dr. Mark Miravalle are unable to come. Annie Karto is returning to speak about Our Lady of America and sing. Bernie Choiniere will participate in the main program as well as co-MC the youth program.
I want to make special mention of Our Lady of America. This title of Our Lady is canonically approved. Here Our Lady is calling us to purity and peace. In addition, she is specifically calling the youth of our nation to lead the world. This is a very special invitation of Our Lady and it is important to get this message out. For more information about Our Lady of America, go to www.jkmi.com
Please help pass this message on and please extend this invitation to others. Please continue to keep STAS in your prayers. Our Prayer Motto: Have you said your Hail Mary today for the St. Thomas Aquinas Society?
God bless you – Therese Lorentz
The Risen Lord: Our Hope Conference
July 31-August 2, 2009 at the Pikes Peak Center
It is always a challenge to schedule the conference so that all will be able to hear our speakers who will be participating in both the general session and the youth program. You will note that we are starting off both programs with very strong and important speakers. Please come early so you won't miss any of this dynamic conference.
You will find the schedule for the conference on the brochure enclosed in this mailing.
Register Now! By returning the registration form in the mail or by going online at:
Youth Program – Please invite and encourage youth to come. It will be a dynamic conference and they have the opportunity to meet the speakers up close. It is our goal to serve our teens. Let your parish teen Youth Director know about our terrific conference. Invite the directors, too! Remind them: the price is right! The rewards are without measure!
Congratulations to Fr. Joe Whalen!
We want to thank Fr. Joe for his service of love as a speaker and his many hours of dedication in his community’s charism of reconciliation. We are so grateful that he will be coming again to our conference this year. It is always a great joy for us to have him return.
Happy 20th Anniversary to Fr. Joe Whalen, MS
May God continue to bless Fr. Joe!
Dear God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, please descend upon us and bless us and our country with Your peace and holiness. You are all powerful and all holy. You are a God of life. Please continue to bless the efforts for life in our country through the promises and intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
We also pray for our politicians, that they will respond to Your Will in all their thoughts, words and actions.
We pray from victory because we believe and trust in You. Please, God, deliver us and our country from all evil so that Your Will may be accomplished. We ask this through Jesus Christ Our Lord and through Our Lady of America who calls our nation to lead in purity and peace. Amen
Volunteers Needed for Conference
If you can assist by helping with the conference, please let us know. We still need volunteers for registration, hospitality, prayer room setup, vendor assistants, transportation for speakers (airport pickup and return, hotel to conference transportation, etc.), and also for help in transporting items for setup and tear down, etc.
Thank you and God bless you!
Support the Ministry of St. Thomas Aquinas Society
We believe that God deserves a first-class celebration and that is why we provide these conferences at the Pikes Peak Center. The Risen Lord: Our Hope Conference is our 12th major conference!
Please help us with your donation. These conferences are very expensive. We step out in faith with each one because, as you know, we do not charge a registration fee.
I met someone recently who recognized me and asked if I was the one who works for the diocese with St. Thomas Aquinas Society. I appreciated being recognized but I need to let you know that we are an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit religious organization. While it is important to us to have our events and speakers approved by Bishop Sheridan, and while we hope our efforts are a blessing to our diocese, we are not part of the diocesan ministries. For that reason, we face the challenges of finding ways to raise the monies to provide these conferences for you.
These conferences cost $50,000 or more and so your prayerful consideration of financial support is very meaningful. We still have a long ways to go on this conference and we still carry some debt from past conferences.
Please also keep us in your prayers.
Thank you and God bless you ~ Therese

Would you like to participate in our silent auction to help us raise funds for this conference? If you can help us with auction gifts and or sponsors, please let us know by responding on the enclosed form.
